Continuing Education Committee
The Continuing Education Committee is responsible for:
- establishing the yearly MLA workshop calendar
- approving workshop content based on Final Workshop Plans from MLA units
- assigning continuing educations units (CEUs) as requested in the Final Workshop Plan
The MLA Office is responsible for scheduling CE events,the workshop calendar that lists all MLA sponsored activities, finalizing the calendar by early December, and publishing the calendar in Michigan Libraries (January issue)
The Committee reviews workshops using the criteria and guidelines established by the International Association of Continuing Education & Training (IACET) for the provision of CEUs. Members of the MLA Continuing Education Committee serve as liaisons to MLA units for consultation in the development and preparation of workshops.
