Planning for the Michigan Library Association Conference 2010 is well underway, and I am very pleased to invite you to join us at our 119th Annual Conference at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, in Traverse City, on Nov. 9 – 12, 2010. As conference chair, I will be sending out e-mails that will come once per month highlighting exciting new conference developments.
The 2010 conference theme, “Yes We Can!” is a reflection of the Michigan library community’s determination to thrive in spite of the multi-faceted challenges we currently face.
The Call for Program Proposals has already gone out. MLA is seeking high quality programs to help libraries and library professionals succeed. The deadline is February 12, and I am confident that the Conference will feature exciting and innovative programs to give every library professional the extra edge. Our Conference would not be possible without the strategic partnerships with vendors and other allies. Sponsorship, Exhibit and Advertising packages are now available, and we rely on the greater library community to support our library association’s premier educational and networking event.

Annual Conference Program Proposals Due February 12
MLA is accepting program proposals for the 119th Annual Conference, to be held November 10, 11 and 12 at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City. Annual Conference is our premier programming and networking event with exceptional opportunities for library professionals to learn about trends and developments in the field, share experiences and exchange ideas with colleagues -- and have a great time doing it. The 2010 conference theme "Yes We Can!" is a reflection of the Michigan library community's determination to thrive in spite of the multifaceted challenges we currently face. MLA seeks high-quality programs to help libraries and library professionals succeed.
