Margaret 'Gigi' Lincoln

Margaret Lincoln has worked as a library media specialist with the
Lakeview Schools since 1973. She also serves as a database trainer for
the Library of Michigan. She has contributed professional articles to
The Book Report, Library Media Connection, Media Spectrum, MultiMedia
Schools, and School Library Journal. Margaret received the Ruby Brown
Award for Individual Excellence from the Michigan Association for Media
in Education (MAME) in 2000 and the 2004 AASL Collaborative School
Library Media Award. Margaret was an American Memory Fellow with the
Library of Congress in 2000 and a Mandel Fellow with the United States
Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) in 2002. She secured funding from the
W. K. Kellogg Foundation on two occasions to bring USHMM traveling
exhibitions from Washington, DC to Battle Creek, Michigan and developed
educational outreach programs to support these exhibitions. She was
awarded a fellowship to pursue a doctorate in information science at the
University of North Texas (Denton) in 2004 as part of an IMLS funded
interdisciplinary distance program. Her research interests focus on
online vs onsite Holocaust museum exhibitions as informational
resources.
