Planning for the Michigan Library Association Conference 2010 is well underway, and I am very pleased to invite you to join us at our 119th Annual Conference at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, in Traverse City, on Nov. 9 – 12, 2010. As conference chair, I will be sending out e-mails that will come once per month highlighting exciting new conference developments.
The 2010 conference theme, “Yes We Can!” is a reflection of the Michigan library community’s determination to thrive in spite of the multi-faceted challenges we currently face.
The Call for Program Proposals has already gone out. MLA is seeking high quality programs to help libraries and library professionals succeed. The deadline is March 5, and I am confident that the Conference will feature exciting and innovative programs to give every library professional the extra edge. Our Conference would not be possible without the strategic partnerships with vendors and other allies. Sponsorship, Exhibit and Advertising packages are now available, and we rely on the greater library community to support our library association’s premier educational and networking event.
